Olivia
“Another world is not only possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing.” – Arundhati Roy.
Being where you are can be an overwhelming, intricate, confusing, daunting
Olivia is drawn to working with those who are feeling “stuck,” and is able to utilize both long term and short term means for therapeutic support. The short term structure is centered in a brief therapy model that includes solution-focused and task-centered goals, community care mapping, and exploring “parts” of ourselves through Internal Family Systems-informed interventions. In a therapeutic space with Olivia, there can be elements of mindfulness, humor, acceptance and commitment strategies, motivational interviewing, creative mediums, and delving into connections of our past, present, and future selves. Olivia specializes in working with young adults, especially those in the disability and neurodiverse community.
Olivia’s professional experience in relational healing ranges across settings such as community programming and organizing, crisis support, education settings, healthcare, and governmental spaces. Olivia is hopeful that in our interactions with each other, we grow in our own abilities to practice relationships, discover buried learnings, and repair the disconnections that harm has built within us. This fuels the belief that new worlds are being created within us, through us, and around us, proving the existence of collective connection, healing and liberation.
Olivia offers primarily a telehealth format and practices higher masking practice for in-person sessions at the Minneapolis clinic location.
